The Fallacy of Good Grades

Even for children who perform well on academic tests, an “A” grade is only one measurement of success. A few things that school testing cannot measure include:
  1. Effort
  2. Critical thinking
  3. Creativity
  4. Collaboration
  5. Curiosity
  6. Respect
  7. Kindness
  8. Capacity to love
  9. Social and emotional intelligence
  10. Honesty
  11. Open-mindedness
  12. Initiative
Fuck yeah, read this parents.
Exactly. You can’t base intelligence solely on how well someone does on a test. People who are “smart” are people who can apply what they have learned into real situations.
Application is key.
